Poorly constructed. I charged my phone two times from this charger before it died on me. After the second time the built in battery would no longer hold a charge from the solar panels. What a waste of money. The same thing also happened to a friend of mine who bought the same charger.

I bought this to be able to charge my cellphone on a backpacking trip. That trip’s coming up soon, but I’ve been testing it out in preparation.
The charger arrived just as pictured and described. A good value compared to even making your own. It came with a bunch of plugs for different types of phones, which was cool (I just needed the USB). The instruction manual obviously came from a non-English company, but it was understandable.
I charged the unit, as directed, from the computer for the first time and the lights worked and it discharged into my phone fairly well. Unfortunately, it didn’t function like that again. It had connection issues and the lights wouldn’t work after that first occurrence.
I contacted Kingsunny and received personal emails back very quickly. They quickly offered a refund, but I just wanted a working model. They shipped it out quickly and were helpful in arranging my shipment of the defective model back to China. I think they had excellent customer service – and appreciated how concerned they were about why it wasn’t working.
The replacement unit works much better.
It does take a long time to fully charge the battery with just solar – but it’s pretty quick off wall or computer.
I’ve used in on a LG Optimus and if the phone is on, it’ll only charge maybe 50%, but I bet it could do the whole thing if the phone was off.
Overall, good product from a company that cares.
