The Sun Won’t Charge This, Maybe We Need A Bigger Sun?,
Look, don’t believe anything the company says about this product. I bought this clunker and despite the indicator light never showing it’s charged it did charge a couple batteries. I have to charge it via USB port, forget the sun, this just won’t cut it. I bought this when it was much cheaper and after I talked to customer service about how bad this product is, they raised the price rather than fix the product. I can’t believe Amazon lets them sell this on their site. It’s crap. I bet this review gets buried, but really, don’t buy this expecting it to work as described!!

|Works as intended,
It works fine. It charges well and the largest battery for the price I could fine. The LED flashlight is bright enough and charges every cell phone and ipod I have. Does not charge an iphone but oh well.

|Decent Product for the Price,
I’ve had this product for nearly two weeks and here are my impressions. First of all, the price was very right on this unit, so I bought it despite a few iffy reviews. The first thing I noticed after allowing the unit to charge (USB initially, as I opened the box at night) is that the “charge indicator” LED will stay at “low charge” red whether you charge it for 2 hours or 20 hours (I have done both). Having a working charge indicator light would have been nice but it doesn’t affect the functionality of the unit. I’ve used the charger to charge my MP3 player and two cellphones. The unit doesn’t seem to have enough juice on a full charge to fully charge the battery on the heftier 3G cellphone, but it is able to get it maybe 90% of the way up which is good enough for a short term fix. I have yet to experiment with charging devices while the charger is capturing solar energy. The types of adapters that come with this unit are suitable for my needs; just don’t lose them.
Overall, I am satisfied with this product. It won’t charge your whole drawer full of devices on a single day’s charge, but at very least you should be able to keep your devices from going dead. This product would be especially useful if you were going to be camping or visiting out of town. You don’t want your cellphone to die on Friday night of a weekend visit somewhere because you forgot to charge up that day. I can’t yet speak to the long-term durability of this item (physically or battery-life), but I will update my review if anything happens.
